ya thats what i did
even if it doesnt solves the problem
then reinstall windows that should do the trick
i just found out the solution that
it was the old drivers which was causing the lines to appear
i removed my old intel drivers n ati both...

i m going to return the card back...
i remove 2x6pin(75watts) cable from gpu
the extra power which is required to run the GPU
ya i just pull out cable from dedicated gpu n attach it to onboard gpu
and at that time i remove power supply to dedicated GPU also
as per u mentioned about using different monitor
i dont have any extra
and i dont always run my pc on gpu
somtimes i got work to do n i cant...

am just lil upset because my gpu is not working properly

i think it maybe problem of PSU
cuz i check the system requirements of hd 4890
they have mentioned 500watts or above
n i think this might cause...
i am using dvi to vga converter that came with gpu
and i dont know what PSU i have
n there no watts indication on PSU...
i am using dvi 2 vga converter
and my PSU is not 450watts
i dont know actually
its something iball-jsw-252-jc
and theres not watts indication on...

my heating issue is been solved
i improved my airflow
but theres another problem
i can see faded lines on my monitor...
I touched it
It's really hot
That means sensor r not wrong
i checked it in GPU-Z software
it shows 110celsius
ya i think airflow could be reason
but my pc restarts too
ya i have PSU that comes with cabinet
Ya my card is clean
But my cabinet is small
i have problem with my hd 4890 ?
at first i had xfx ati radeon hd 5450
which lasted 1 year........exactly after a year it died
so gave it to xfx...
