I will check for the free memory during the lag tomorrow, if it matters the machine have 8GB though.
Also the bios is really limited im afraid,...
From what I noticed, the lag dosen't happen right after a fresh boot, also the HDD light will flash in sync with the mouse/windows updating on the...
Lately, (about 3 weeks ago) I started to have some weird lag spikes on my laptop, even while it was just sitting at the desktop, or coming...
Does anyone know how enableing channel interleaving can cause a black screen on boot?
I had another post on this a while back.
I didn't set them up manual, cause I never did that before. So I tried with his CPU and memory.
Didn't work even with a bios reset.
I tried with my friends ram. Still black screen :P So I guess its the CPU then?
Perhaps, my friend got some DDR3 memory. I hope to lend his for abit and maybe I can find the issue that way. He also got a amd CPU like me.
No, that causes a black screen when i power on the pc. Dosen't show the bios booting or anything. Just no signal.
I moved the memory modules back in the dimm3 and 4, black screen again. Everytime one of those slots are used.
The reason I want 8GB is because I often use a virtual machine. :) Still, they "used" to work.. But I guess stuff breaks eventually.
Im aware of that. Perhaps I would be better of by buying some new ones. Identical ones.
2 are from Kingston. The other 2 are Crucial.
Im not sure my warrently is still there. The ram aren't super expensive. So I don't think the warrently is for more than a year max.
I used asus M4A89GTD PRO before, upgraded to Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3.. It is not the motherboard.
Most likely CPU or RAM related. Im just unsure...
So it could be two bad memory sticks? Memtest only gave me error on 1 of them.
Also I am using DDR3 memory.
What if its not the mobo, nor ram?...
I tried turning up the NB volt to 1.3. But still black screen when I put in more than 4GB :(
No. Everything is default settings.
Im about to test that, sure hope it does!
No, it does not work.. Maybe it only works with 2, or 4 memory modules?
Memtest is almost done, all memory modules works fine, except the first one which gave me a ton of errors. Im going to double check that one.
I tried another memory module, 0pass 0error.. Well.. No error is always good!!
Not much info to give on that one though.
Testing the other...
Not sure, still doing the memtest. Although it says 1pass, 193errors.. Looking bad
Yes, the memory works like that, but only in the first2 slots....
No, i got 2 memory types. 2 x 2.
Its just that they used to work perfectly fine.. So I really got no clue to why it causes a issue.
I did try...
I just got a new one.. Today. I though the motherboard was the issue too, at first atleast.
But it ain't the mobo.
