BIOSTAR has released a partial list of its existing motherboards that will support the upcoming 45nm desktop processors by AMD. The list includes all of its current motherboards based on the AMD 7-series chipsets, NVIDIA nForce 700a series and GeForce 8200 MCP. BIOSTAR has made available the appropriate BIOS firmware for each of the motherboards in the list, that expands the CPU support. Interestingly, BIOSTAR comments on the TDP rating system AMD is about to adopt. It says that 45nm AM2+ processors carry TDP ratings of 125W, while equivalent (drawn from inference) AM3 45nm CPUs carry 95W ratings. Visit
