\I should have a review of the QNAP 439 soon. It's sitting at home right now. Atom based 4 bay NAS. Otherwise it's mostly the same device. (different exterior design) Should use less power while still offering performance. If not I'll be able to tell you otherwise by then.

Thecus has some new offerings as well, including Atom based. Not sure if I'll get one of those. They did say I could have one. Should be a similar device to the 439.
Thecus and QNAP offer mostly similar functionality.
