I think In this case - the industry doesnt know any better - the 'battery life' argument has been a debatable issue for a long time coming & it just so happens that nobody was talking because most Consumers dont know any better & will accept most things at face value rather then questioning those who are responsible. & thats the reason why the issue was never bought up. I think HP triggerd AMD into a mudslinging war - after all they did just announce they were selling an optional battery upgrade that was garanteed to last 3 years tops with no degradation. maybe AMD has something against HP??

another thing is - consumers dont know how to look after the batteries on the laptop properly often resulting in the battery degrading a lot quicker then it would normally have.

everyone has a part to play in this issue - stupid consumers who accept everything at face value & a dishonest industry full of morons that wouldnt even tell you what time of day it is.
