System Specs

Windows 7 is far more memory efficient than XP or Vista ( Vista was a memory hog ) More ram is never a bad thing, but the reality is you will not come close to needing more than 4 GB, honestly you would be better served by grabbing ram with faster speed and better timings than getting slower ram but getting more of it, now that said more ram is never a bad thing. Now if your going i7, that means you have a choice, P55 (dual Channel) or X58 ( tri Channel ), now while tri channel has more bandwidth and there is a noticeable difference in performance, P55 is not exactly slow. But if you use Windows 7 with 4 gigs, you will have very little trouble, doing just about anything you like.
