I have a pair of glasses with similar properties but without the stupid tint and they really do work. Some months ago my eyes started to really hurt and get red after just 1 or 2 hrs in front of the pc. I went to the doctors and he suggested some eye drops a pair of glasses for pc work and a sticky note on my monitor saying "Don't forget to blink!"
I got a cheap noname brand for about 35$ that look like a normal pair of glasses except that when you look at them at an angle you can see a funky rainbow tint.
