BDXL is a next-generation Blu-ray based disc format that can hold up to 128 GB of data in standard-sized discs. Buffalo's BDXL burner lineup consists of a standard 5.25" sized internal drive with SATA interface, carrying the model number BRXL-6FBS-BK; and an external drive with USB 2.0 interface, the BRXL-6U2. Both these drives burn BDXL discs at 4X, BR-RE XL at 2X, and conventional single and double layer BD-R discs at 6X. The company is yet to announce market availability.
