If two programs are giving different temperature results, then use a third or fourth to determine which is correct and wich is incorrect and then submit the bug report. Because while you are doing a good thing by submitting a bug report for the faulty program, you are doing a bad thing by submitting a bug report for the non-faulty program. A false bug report is time the developer has to waste determining if the bug is legit or not.
