They send your new PSU as advance replacement (ofcourse they hold some money on ur credit card) and once you fix and up and running with the new one then you can ship the old one back to them with the return UPS shipping label they email you. So you actually spend nothing. Why not call them and talk to them?
I have exchanged 2 PSUs and everytime they upgraded me to a better wattage or more expensive models. They even upgraded my $40 400w PSU to a 650w Modular PSU which was $120 at that time.
Your Ex's system is anyway down, why not wait for 2 or 3 more days to get a replacement PSU?
Who knows they will even upgrade the 750w to a 1KW model, you can grab that and give her a cheap PSU if you want
would be nice but the warranty ran out it only had a 3 year warranty on it i know some of there psu's have a lifetime but not that one.
