There are 2 ways to clock these chips on most boards, through turbo on each individual core or through the fixed multiplier. I use the multi. If only one core was used, you would see a drastic disparity between one core and the rest.

That's true. However, the stock cooler cannot handle more than 4.1 or so on full load.

There were some peole saying that 1.5v was supposed to be "safe". However, what I'm hearing from enthusiast that I trust is that 1.375v is the safe 24/7 max, with 1.42 or so max for bench runs. It's still early in the game, so who knows. I don't think I'm taking the voltages any higher though. I'm rock stable at 4.7ghz 1.28v
