Well, yeah if you like AMD then of course the 6970 is the way to go, this unlocking stuff has its downsides I'm sure but anyway GTX570 is on par with the 6970 but it seems it's a little bit more expensive.
Anyway it's a great upgrade to your 4870, now the i7 will be put at good work!
