This is going off-topic from the title mod OP, but I think it's good for people to ask questions about being a mod and what it's like.
Being a mod can be summed up in two words ... Internet Babysitting.

We have to deal with every kind of personality (and personality disorder) all the time.
It's no big deal, but you have to have the right attitude to maintain your sanity when things go south.

and no, i havent been a mod on a forum. but i used to be a mod on a few chatsites i used to hang around a long long long time ago, I was also server admin for a few clans i used to be part of in the past
Not a forum i know. but I still wouldnt mind stepping upto the job.
