It's highly unlikely that Steam would allow a game with a real virus to exist on their service. I think it's a false positive, and I'm sure some other programs install drivers in a similar way.
I'm surprised that the publisher of a F2P game has the money to include a 3rd party anti-hack mechanism.
Yeah, I kinda agree, but I'd rather err on the cautious side and sound it out before running it. It's always just possible that they somehow got this past Steam's vetting process.
