Yet they don't actually list an 8600GT as a supported GPU, but it does meet the requirement. I may have to dig out my old one, bake it (its got solder issues), find a cooling system for it, and test it lol.

And yea... the GT240 should pwn physx (based on nVidia's requirement) as it has 96 cores.
Apparently, PhysX on 8600GT only works with 196.34 GPU drivers + PhysX SS drivers 9.10.0222, nothing newer.

Is Physx worth it? I have been thinking about getting a card but I really don't know that much about it.
It really depends on the person. If you notice it, it does add a little bit extra. To me, my 40~50$ purchase for the card was totally worth it because it could be used as a backup card too. Unfortunately I didn't use the card much at all, maybe a week (enough time to finish Batman and Mirror's Edge), but I think PhysX can still be fun to have. I have to admit that not that many games have much of a difference with PhysX.

I think that if you have an upgrade itch and want to tame it a bit, a PhysX card can be the answer Also note you need to have the space on your mobo
