id wait atleast 2 gens before upgrading the 580, so in a sense that would be the Radeon 9K HD series

hmm i'll look into that ground wire idea. And yes thats what I was thinking with the 580, to sli them and then wait another year before upgrading. I'm a bit of a GPU whore these days haha. Usually get between 8-14months on my gpu's.
Also the 570 in my miniLAN rig was in my main system and i thought about sli 570's or upgrade to 580 but chose 580, just because i didn't have to buy ANOTHER gpu for my mini rig.

I think I will SLI my 580 SOC, it just might take some time as i am a bit low on funds haha. I would wait but, computers just keep getting better and better and sooner or later you have to jump aboard and buy something. Otherwise you would be waiting forever!
