Mmmmmmm, exciting. A temperature sensor. I don't think it even matters with SSD's at what temperature they operate. I mean with standard HDD's, metal and all the moving parts get slightly deformed at excessive temperatures and they could fail. With NAND FLASH, this problem basically doesn't exist.
