Buying one copy of Windows per PC is not a big deal, we spend thousands on hardware but complain about spending $100 on the software to make it run? And the software lasts longer than most hardware, at least you can keep re-using they copy of Windows on each new PC as long as you take it off the old PC first, most of us don't re-use hardware.
