It was simply horrid back in the days (2007-2009), it's not usual for users to not be able to even boot the damn live cd/dvd.
And btw, the same can be said to you, just because
you don't have problem doesn't mean there aren't any countless other who do (not to mention Linux doesn't automatically
mean Ubuntu). Or did you think all those threads was made by a bot?
