I played with the Eris once. If you keep it with a root+debloat on stock rom/kernel it runs decent. It goes like this Eris/OG/DInc - Droid 2/Droid X/Dinc2 - Droid X2/Thunderbolt in my book.

Upon looking around that TBolt you found is the best one per price. Just MAKE SURE everything works.
