It stinks they don't host the old files anymore.
I did get into one 1.7.1.5 server for a little bit and it seems good. Ran through a town that easy rhino and I ran through last night and instead of having 30 zombies on our tail, I only had two after a while. Eye and ear indicators seem balanced now.
