Forum Observations
IMO...Overall very good forum, even for casual users as myself...I visited here about a year ago looking for ideas on solving a problem and picking a video card. All I needed to really do was read what others were saying and I got enough to go on.
In the past week I was looking for more specific information so I signed up and asked a couple of questions. Some of the responses were specific enough to be helpful, some were more reflective of only an opinion and lacked compelling or meaningful explanation.
Sorry....stating brand xxxx is pos without giving an explanation is a waste of electrons. It is fine with me if the moderator deletes the post. When asking technical review types of questions, responses should be mature rather than juvenile. If the mod is responsible for making the call, so be it. That is the price of admission so to speak. If the post does not add value to the thread or help lead to an answer, give that explanation then delete it and don't worry about it.
As a casual PC hobbyist, I genuinely appreciate the chance to pick other people's brains and see what they are experiencing before I buy or make a decision. Most of the threads involve topics way beyond my experiences or skill sets, but I just pass on those and try to stick with threads which seem to address the technical problem I am experiencing (or trying to avoid ).
