8GB (2x4) Ballistix Tactical, DDR3 1866MHz, CL9, 1.5V 56€
XFX 750W XXX Edition Semi Modular (Bronze) 100€
I would at first keep using the HD 6950 and the SSD... Could put the ol' 4850 back in and sell the whole old system to a friend.
But then again, I searched some results on 3DMark.com and it looks like the gaming performance wont see any major jumps. Productivity and such may get a serious boost...?
Or should I leave my favourite manufacturer and go for something like i5 2500K?
Or should I just wait and see what the next year brings? I mean I don't even play so much anymore. I just want new AMD hardware to fiddle with

So what do you use your PC for? If you're doing nothing intensive why upgrade at all.

Because of this. Wants to play with new shit.
OP,
Looks like a good upgrade to me. CPU, mem, motherboard. Id maybe look at a different PSU though. You can get Gold Rated PSUs for pretty good prices these days.
CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2...
