There was a huge increase in teen accidents after The Fast & the Furious was released to theaters.
But no, I'm sure that a movie about people doing stupid things and driving fast had nothing to do with it. As to your FPS argument, I'm sure there are at least a number of cases where someone with a mental illness playing a violent game further confused and obscured the line between reality and fantasy. However the normal sane person is a little more caution when it comes to guns and direct death than trying something stupid when they have a false sense of security in a car. Just look at the idiots dying every day to prove my point.
