After all this time even with all the big releases this year, the only game that is worth mentioning for me is Dark Souls for PC 2012. Despite the many flaws it has on PC the game itself has kept me coming back no matter which platform and once you've worked around most of the issues on PC the 1080P resolution and 4X AA with 60FPS it is a day and night comparison with it's console versions. The difficulty gives off a huge nostalgic feeling while playing, it makes you reminisce about the times where we were playing the extremely hard JRPGs etc. that the good old days of Super Nintendo had (eg. Secret of Mana). Despite the ridiculous difficulty, every boss you down will make you feel like you've achieved something and have been rewarded for it adequately unlike where in newer more cinematic games no matter how epic the battle is, makes you feel like you've just progressed through a scripted event from point A to B. In Dark Souls you're literally just a normal player with a shield/sword and a few spells while the game pits you against gods. So bring on Dark Souls 2!!
