And down the line with all TV manufactures going all in with "UHD" 2560x1440/1600 is out and we'll get a new standard of 3840x2160 but like you already said we're about 1~5 years out before it becomes the affordable standard.
I agree, and this perfect pixel Achevia Shimian 27" 2560x1440 will hold me over nicely until then. $320 bucks for this thing and there are no issues whatsoever with it. Money well spent.
