My TF III on the 6870 Hawk is fairly quiet- especially since the fans don't need to to spin that fast to keep the card cool. Agree on the TIM job- I put fresh paste on mine and it never ran better (10C cooler at load than when new and the fans are nice n' quiet)

The 7950 TF III gets my vote.

Also, be careful with stock/reference coolers.... they only use a vapor chamber/no heatpipes and they really suck
