I have two Corsair SP 120 Performance Series fans on top of my case ( in "pull" for my H100) that were making an annoying "growl" noise when they were hooked up to the H100's fan ports, but much quieter now even at top speed since I hooked them to my Sentry Mesh fan controller. Possibly a firmware issue similar to the H100i pump noise, although without Corsair Link it can't be updated. Try hooking them to the CPU fan header on the motherboard and see if they run quieter (and plug the H100 pump into an aux fan header). Most boards will let you set up a fan profile for the CPU.
