Recently i've been hunting for a new laptop so this week I purchased a new HP laptop preloaded with Vista. The HP laptop had some very nice specs. I returned the laptop the following day because of how Vista just sucks the life out of a laptop powered with a Core Duo 2 and 2 gigs of ram. When I returned the laptop the clerk at Staples asked me why I was returning it. I told her I love the computer and hate the Windows Vista. She told me she's heard it before.
Today I ordered a new Thinkpad T60 and I had it preloaded with XP Pro before it's no longer sold.
I'm sure i'm not the only one who's made the same request. Microsoft knows this as well and that's the reason to cutoff XP sales past January 2008. XP is Vista's biggest competition.
Hopefully if the rumors are true that this is Microsoft's last monolith OS that's the best thing that can happen to us all. Vista is one bloated piece of shitware, IMO.
