Here is some mem info for xfx8600gt if found on the net.(stock voltages for various ram chips)

If the serial number on the RAM chips starts with "H", NOT HY:

Look at the 5th character:

V: VDD =3.3V & VDDQ = 3.3V
A: VDD =3.3V & VDDQ = 2.5V
Y: VDD =3.0V & VDDQ = 3.0V
U: VDD =2.5V & VDDQ = 2.5V
W: VDD =2.5V & VDDQ = 1.8V
S: VDD =1.8V & VDDQ = 1.8V
Q: VDD =1.5V & VDDQ = 1.5V
R: VDD =1.2V & VDDQ = 1.2V

If the serial number on the RAM chips starts with HY:

V: VDD=3.3V & VDDQ=2.5V
U: VDD=2.5V & VDDQ=2.5V
W: VDD=2.5V & VDDQ=1.8V
S: VDD=1.8V & VDDQ=1.8V
C: VDD=1.5V & VDDQ=1.5V
