Hey all,

I'm starting this thread for everybody who is contributing to Folding@Home with a GPU, so that we can help get the best performance out of our cards. I plan to keep track of contributors' Graphics cards, and the PPD being generated, like a scoreboard. This will make it easier to tell if your card is performing as it should be, and if it's not then we can help you figure out why.

Please visit the official TPU Folding@Home thread for info on Folding@Home, and how to get started if you are interested, please don't ask stuff like "What is Folding@Home" in this thread.

To work out your 'PPD', you will need to download FahMon. EDIT - Please ensure FahMon is set to calculate your PPD rating by the 'Last 3 Frames'. This option is found by clicking FahMon>Preferences>Monitoring.

Ok, lets get things rolling:

You will need to include screenshots of CPUZ, GPUZ and FahMon. Please use alt+Prt Scrn and add the image as an Attachment (click 'Go Advanced', it's the paperclip at the top)

To get added to the list, please start your post with "ADD THIS", so i can easily identify new additions. Please copy/paste my info below and edit the details.

Not a lot. It's using between 6-9% on mine, but on my old xp install it was using 50% (one core). I'm not sure if it's updated drivers, or newer client that fixed it.

I've got the gpu2 client set as "Slightly Higher" priority, and the SMP client on "idle".

No probs, you can update it later if your ppd increases.

Trying clicking FahMon > Preferences, and changing the "calculate ppd based on" to "Last 3 frames".

Might also be that you're folding a different Project. IDK if ATI cards are assigned different ones though.

I'll post my results later this week for sure...FAH Mon has been acting funny..PPD's haven't changed from 4.4k on the 9600GT and 7.2k on the gtx260, whether OC'd or not...I'm gonna do a fresh uninstall and re-install. I also do performance based on all frames instead of last 3 to get a better idea of what my true average is (iirc). I've seen as high as 8.5k and as low as 5.5k on the 260 and 3.6-6.4k on the 9600GT iirc, depending on WU and clock speeds.

Like I said, later this week or weekend I'll have some screenies for ya! Don't think I'll take first, but I'll donate so people can get an idea of what kind of PPD's they should expect.

Since you changed yours to stock clocks I figured I'd let you know the numbers I posted for my 4850 are the stock speeds. I haven't had much luck OC'ing my 4850.

make sure people have FAHMon calculate PPD by last frame only, otherwise you'll inevitably have people posting lower than actual PPDs due to down time (shutting down computer, etc) as the default setting is to base it on when the WU was downloaded

EDIT:ADD THIS

Points Per Day = 1502
Project = 4732
Graphics Card = Sapph 3870@stock for 24/7 running
Graphics Driver = Cat 8.?? I think .5 (to lazy to update to newer)
Operating System = Vista Ultimate x32
Processor = Opty165@2.8

Been off and on for the last week or so... but slightly lower than I thought....My Athlon64 4000+ running the console must add about 600-700ppd.

Mine has just finished a work unit on a 3870 @ stock...so will edit this post in a few hours to include my results, but I think it will be about 1700ppd.. no where near the rest of you all.

sounds about right...I think the best I did was like 2500PPD way Oc'd. ATI just cant compare now with folding.
