High res hardware pictures needed
Hi guys,
I have to make some 10'x5' like posters for a PC shop. So I need some High resolution pictures of PC hardware such as motherboards,CPU,RAM and VGA. For a large design.Just needed to be larger than @ least 1024 x 1068 and be in full shape in the image. Thank you all for looking into this.Your help is much appreciated.

There are plenty of pictures in the case gallery, project logs forum, and the cases, modding and electronics forum if you want to have a look there. I would love to see a poster sized picture of a nice high end motherboard!

My conversions are estimates, but for a 10'x5' print:
For viewing on a screen at scale, the image would be 9354x4252 pixels at 72dpi If you wanted photo realistic quality, the ppi (the amount of pixels per inch of paper needs to be between 240 and 300. Working with the bare minimum, your images would need to be 38975x17717 pixels to be photo realistic at close ranges. The pixels per inch can be dropped as the distance between the viewer and the print changes, as obviously we cant see fine detail from distances. But I cant see it recommendable in dropping below the 150ppi mark. |

He may just have made a typo since the posters are for a local PC shop, they must have bloody big walls to fit posters that size one, just a point, anyway, how the HELL would you print them?

Too big for inside a store, but not too big for one hanging at the front of the store at the entrance. Printing at that size is done on a large format machine, I dont know what mediums theyd use, but they can do anything paper based. I once did a 4x1 metre print, they print it onto film paper and then it has an adhesive backing for mounting. I had it mounted onto a PVC board (5mm thick board, heavy as hell and awkward to carry but very good for presenting my work).

I didn't think they'd be able to fit on a wall outside since it's a LOCAL PC shop which you wouldn't think would be huge.
