Seriously i think both of you should step away from the monitor for a sec and smoke a butt this doesnt look like the kind of conversation 2 people being all buddy buddy in profile messages would have.
In all honesty like who cares? i mean are these 2 things even subjects that are worthy of a thread created to aid TPU in changing and improving the way its run? ask yourself 2 things...is this subject proper for this thread? and will this subject benifit TPU? i dont think so..i mean do you guys really want to fight about this? in 4 days when you both hate each other have a warning or ban because this got out of hand and/or this thread gets closed and your on each others ignore list are you going to sit back and regret this desicion? well id think it would be a pretty silly reason. you know i love both you guys but look at it this way 1.the dudes banned 2. now that the mods know the avvy exists or rather if this is the case cant ignore it anymore...i do bealive its in the fourm rules not to post offensive material..their is foul language and explicit content in that avvy and as a member of moderation staff it will probably be promtly removed as is their job. i mean anyone can say this and that about things that offend them but thats generally upto the mod and like the cases above i personally think should have been between PM's to and from the members of staff and have no place in this thread..and though people can say just about anything offends them this though possibly a stretch is actually in the forum rules about not being permitted so i honestly think no one should raise their pulse rate over it. in making your first post at TPU you agreed to the rules...sneeky its a pretty monkey anyone it offends is rediculous pancho dude you know this doesnt belong here...contact an admin or another super mod i think both of you are pretty awsome guys but just look at this and ask yourself...seriously? i just think its a stupid mistake but lets not get all mean over it my 2C

@solaris... i agree with everything but the last part. i disscussed the situation with a senior mod over im and he said he'd talk to it about the admin and apparently it got no where so the senior mod asked me to post it.
when i step back, i see that sneeky's arguement about a past "drama" that's already been done with and established does not do anything whatsoever with my request. i would still like to see that avatar removed. it's offensive rude and inappropriate.

I wasnt fighting, I just feel that if you really have a request for the wrongs of another member, you should be an upstanding member yourself. I may have dug a bit at pancho but it was only to prove what I was trying to get across.
People in glass houses shouldnt throw stones! Pancho knows I just threw on my debating cap was all!

im sorry to have said fighting more like a very straight forward conversation but you know what i mean sneeky and while i agree with you i dont underestimate pancho yourself and other members i know personally to be anything less than outstanding members but personally i dont want to dig much further as im the kind of guy who doesnt like to start/make worse situations i try to fix them and i try not to leave hard feelings i hope you dont have them with me as i dont have them with you much like yourself sneeky i wa just leaving my ideas and thoughts as many others do on a public forumwether or not you agree with what i say is completely upto you nor do i mind if you disagree as long as you honestly thought about it and i can still buy your stuff but as i said before i agree with you 100% but at the end of the day its still an avitar remember sneeky

I'm just playing devil's advocate, here - but how is it, all of a sudden, a user who did not find a specific image offensive before, all of a sudden does?
TBH - considering how long that image has been floating around here, I vote for enacting a grandfather clause on it . . . it hasn't been made a big issue before, the mods, super-mods and TPU Spentsnaz have overlooked for as long as most user here can remember (at the very least the amount of time I've been here). Pitching a shit-fit about it now is ridiculous, IMHO, wether or not a mod, admin, or another user now finds it offensive. It should've been caught a loooooonnnnngggggg time ago.

What's wrong? Closing threads without violation of forum rules taking place within the threads. Preemptive closures do more to stir frustrations than put them to bed.

where are all the damn ppl going? every day there are less and less ppl.
sometimes i'll make a post and come back in 5 mins and there are 20ppl looking at it... but i have to want hours, sometimes days for a response from anyone and most of the time its not even towards anything related to me or what i was talking about. a few threads i have started have just been total bombs. not even just that... when a thread is answered correctly and the problem is solved the thread is just dead. this seems to happen when im the last poster in the thread. just an odd coincidence. |

I can't remember any time there were 400-600 members on at once. The most users ever online was just three weeks ago. Currently: 2240 (94 members and 2146 guests) Honestly I've never seen over 200 members on at once.

sometimes it seems as though i piss everyone off and they all leave at once. ppl seem to think im a cocky person when really im not. im not some rich F*** that wastes all this money on my computer just to kill everyones scores and outplay any game out. i work for the stuff i have and alot of it i get for almost nothing. its just luck and persistence. im not always ahead of the game.

the forums are at a visit decline iv noticed the drop too. and not only that but because you paid for all this cool stuff parts that alot of us dont have that kinda narrows the scope of people that can help...i mean when it comes to bios options i wouldnt be able to help your mobo's are above a price range i cant afford and you have options i cant relate to and just dont have...i could come up with ideas..like raise the pll voltage...but i have no personal experiance so i cannot help from that point on...and even though i did post an idea at the same time that idea was still nothing but a hunch..know what im saying?

yeah but there are plenty of guys on here that are in the same league as me.
damulta, giorgios th.... several. thats not what im talking about. i ask general questions and it seems like ppl just see my name and think "this cock doesn't want my opinion" but I REALLY DO. thats the WHOLE POINT i make certain threads here on tpu. i will be the first person to admit i dont know everything. i still run into road blocks that i have trouble getting around. there are other guys here like you(solaris17), erocker, dom, tatty_one, heavyH20, TONS of you guys have helped me and maybe you never knew it. alot of us possess knowledge in certain areas more than others. thats what makes this site/community stay rolling. we are here to help others. i cant tell you how many new ppl i have seen lately.... A LOT. ITS ALL ABOUT RESOURCES.... and thats what TPU is. a HUGE resource of documented help on just about anything you may need help with. |

I agree as well, although I see Sol's point, also. But I've run into the occasional issue where I'll make a post asking for opinions or otherwise, and not get too many responses back . . . But, TBH, I haven't really had the time to delve into the hardware sections to offer some help, either - I've just been too busy with school work to be able to commit the extra time to following threads helping out. That's not to say I won't offer some advice if I see a thread I could throw something out in. Typically, though, I'll hop onto audio-related threads before anything else, as it doesn't require too much thought on my part . . . but those threads tend to get buried rather quickly (*hint* *hint* audio subforum request!!! *hint* *hint*) But, a lot of us here have "specializations" you could say - certain areas where some users are a ton more knowledgable than others. For example, I know next to squat about liquid cooling, but audio is a different matter altogether. I'm fairly good with OCing DRAM, ATI and Intel setups, but I'm in the dark on AMD and nVidia equipment.
