Sound Card & Speakers

Hello all,

I'm looking for a decent set of speakers and a sound card. Anyone got them lying about....?

My budget is around £40. Not alot - But I don't want top notch stuff.

I think I might be getting a new set of speakers as part of my Christmas present, I currently have the excellent Videologic ZXR-550 5.1 system, they cost me about £85 I think when i got them about 3 years ago, they are in mint!

It is 24bit which is the important thing, I used to have one and to be honest, for the price they are pretty good.

Well pair, there are 6 of them 2 front, 2 rear, a centre and a nice powerful sub and yes, if Santa brings me some new ones you can have these......but if I have to post the things to you it will be fairly costly, i reckon just for parcelforce 48 hours it will probably be about £15.....with the sub they are heavy! So after the soundcard what you got left in the piggy bank for speakers and shipping?

Here is a linky, check the reviews......

Well - I've probably got around £40 left in my little piggy bank. Perhaps a bit more (Depends how much I'm saving towards the holiday and a new car).

If you could tell me the weight of the speakers, I could check online to see prices.

Your not to far away, about 30 minutes drive from me.

A bit more than 30 minutes if your in Gloucester, probably half an hour to Worcester and another half an hour to Kidderminster, I am guessing the weight would be 20-25 pounds, these are a solid set! I would be happy with 40 if the Parcelforce was less than £15.
