Learn to say I'm sorry. Even when things are heated as hell, take some deep breathes and say I'm sorry. Almost every argument I've had with my gf is because we were both too stubborn to understand the other's POV and it was a completely pointless argument, so I have learned to be the first to say sorry because one of us needed to.
