RMA on a new Q9550 CPU !

Well I got the OK from NewEgg for a replacement CPU Q9550 , This sucks . I noticed some thing strange with that CPU and I can not get over it . After getting it all up and running took forever . I had to downgrade the Bios and even that did not help it still felt very wrong , Took forever to get into the boot up phase and out of the Bios . Seemed so strange that it would take that long for the system to boot up . I noticed that it was glitch when opening up programs like Wprime and then opening up fire fox at the same time it acted strange glitching and very slow . Temp readings really off for a WATER cooling setup the Q6600 65nm CPU 32c idle and don't break 50c loaded with 1.52 Vcore !!!! The Q9550 was off the scale for me 40c to 55c loaded and that is a 45nm chip at stock EVERY THING ! I told NewEgg this and well I hope after another week or so I will get a better CPU out of this . Just did not seem like it was right , Hell this Q6600 has been put through the ringer and it runs fine whether I OC this CPU or run it at stock speeds it doesn't have that feeling that the Q9550 had . Do you think that it was a crappy Chip ? And how would that happen ? Do they not check them ?
Facts is the Q6600 is going strong nothing weird or strange happening at all . every thing is smooth not slow and glitching .
GOD what a nightmare ! Now I have to send out this CPU have NewEgg get it and look at it then if all goes well have them send me a new one back ! GOD this is going to take forever ! Why ME ? what the fuck did I do ? DID I wish for too much or hope to much or fantasize to much ? Just what the hell did I do to deserve this ?
Well I hope they give me a better one this time if not I am going to get my money back !
I feel like I have been .

I was able to get my C1 to bench at 4.3 GHz so they can be excellent chips, but I did notice mine ran hotter than some other quads I had (Q9450 C0 or C1, Q9650 E0, and QX9650 C0).

# Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80569Q9550 - Retail
# Qty:1
# RMA Type: Replacement
# Reason: Defective/Failure
This is what the RMA says so I hope they give me a good one this time I tell you this CPU was a POS right out of the box and could you imagine what it would have been like to have the stock POS cooler ? OMG that thing would have burst into FLAMES !!

Yeah the heat was not the issue what was is how slow it was the glitching feeling the stuttering senses the over all crap that I was getting and then all the sudden it stopped it would not OC even the RAM it just stopped every thing and went into this even slower mode !

It acted strange and would take almost 3 min to boot up and then once I was able to get it up and running it was like glitching out and stuttering and well so much for Over clocking the POS would not even want to oc at all it just wanted to run at 6x multiplier ! Shit my Q6600 fucking has a 9x that is far better !

Sounds to me like it wasn't soldered to the IHS correctly. These things happen. It's not common but it happens.

Thank you all for the support , This has surely been a nightmare for me , Never have I ever had a CPU turn out like this , Such a disappointment such a let down . Well one thing is for sure , Now I am not at all excited nor am I looking forward to getting a new one nor am I expecting the new one to even work any better than the one I send them back . And I surly do NOT expect it to be better than my sweet Q6600 , I don't care . Now that I have had the nightmare I don't expect any thing less than another POS coming back , Lowered Expectation ! This is all I have nothing more nothing less . But Thank you all for your support in this nightmare .
And what is even better than all this now is the wait the wait to get all this shipping back and forth that is so much fun and TO think I payed for over night shipping for this nightmare to come true !

Yea, I would've freaked out too... but I wouldn't have been SOOO excited... I mean the upgrade isn't huge... especially that he has that sweet Q6600...

BUT, I will be crazily excited once I buy and wait for my i7 rig to get here... THAT is a huge upgrade... going from t2300 and integrated gma 950 to i7 with 2 4830 xfired

EDIT: they don't reimburse the extra you pay for the shipping?
