Further Details of DFI CPU Cooler Turn Up - Prolimatech Megahalems

Some of you may have read the news post about the DFI CPU cooler, spotted on one of their boards. Not a lot of information has been made available, but we got the specifications right here for you. The cooler is made by Prolimatech, a firm established in 2008. This means that the cooler is not from Thermalright, as previously believed. It could also be possible, that the image of the DFI board with the cooler used means nothing and that DFI will not be entering the CPU cooler business after all. The "Megahalems" cooler comes with the following features:

Minimal air resistance between fins allowing best balance between noise and performance in range of 800-1200RPM
Heatpipes are lined up in a straight line to prevent air back draft allowing air to easily pass through the heatsink body
Wide fins with mathematically calculated thickness to maximize best air-to-surface cooling rate
Uniquely designed, easy-to-install socket 775 and 1366 retention mechanism to increase cooling ability.
Easy to apply, high grade thermal compound, a perfect sidekick to all Prolimatech heatsinks

The unit is already listed at various shops for just under 60€ and should be available at the beginnging of March. Read on for the coolers full specifications.

No HDT technology...what's wrong with these people ?!

They could have made it better by make it Direct touch heatpipe or whatever its called.

Says on the first Xigmatek HDT cooler. I'd think there are no other HDT coolers, because no-one else can't make them? Those few that there are probably payed them?

And say like Thermalright, they'll never give them a license to do them. HDT is their advatage on the competitors.

Seems it's smaller than TRUE, although it looks bigger.

It is as large as the TRUE and works well with slower speed fans.

Its real potential is realized once you up the voltage and start overclocking.

your a little off there there are 3 companys i know of that uses the HDT Scythe, Artic Cooling, and Sunbeam just each company has there own name for the tech

I think they should've included another set of fan clips so this cooler could be used with 2 fans in a push-pull config. But it does look promising.

They do include two sets a fan clips. No fan is included but if you have 2 fans they give you the clips to mount them.

well, thats good news, in the pic i only see 1 set of clips thats why i brought this up. Dont care about no fan included as i always mount my own on CPU coolers.

Im pretty sure thermalright can make HDT coolers, on a marketing stand point the TRUE120ex still remain unbeaten when installed correctly and with effort.

if i remember right HDT-S1283 ranks a step or two above TRUE in frostytech's top 5 coolers list. So according to them its a little better.
