Best Monitor Under $300? | Best Graphics Card under $350
Hey!
I'm in the position to upgrade my current monitor to any monitor under $300... Whats the best monitor I can get under $300? The bigger the better, but obviously quality takes priority over quantity :P Also, I'm going to be RMA'ing my GTX 280, having some problems with it... What is the best card(s) I can get under $350 shipped to Central New Jersey? I don't care if its from ATI or nVidia, as I'm a fanboy of neither. I just want the best performance at my door for under $350. If I will get better performance doing an SLI/Crossfire of multiple cards, I'm alright with that too. Thanks

Don't want the Acer since its half an inch smaller than my current, and I don't need the built in speakers
![]() Eyeballing that Samsung tho ![]() Not too sure about the 285, as it comes out to be slightly more than I'd like... Along with suggestions for a monitor/graphics card, what would you guys say is a good PSU to power: Decent x58 Mobo i7 920 (with room for some good overclock) 6GB DDR3 1600 RAM High End Graphics Card (285/4850x2, etc.) A single 300GB Velociraptor Very preferably modular, and very preferably under $200 (if you find a price from buy.com, subtract 5% and $5)... Thanks

What about this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236047
Along with an HD 4850x2? Is the performance difference between 4850x2 and GTX 285 very large? I have found a 4850x2 for 270 AR, and the cheapest 285 is 350? |

And its a nice looking monitor, but I'd prefer something larger... The drivers for the 4850x2, how bad are they? How does the 4850x2 perform compared to the GTX 285? Are there any alternatives? |

HD 4850X2 is the strongest card next to the GTX 295 but the thing keeping it back is drivers. It's not an official SKU by AMD so Sapphire is the only ones that make drivers for it. AMD added support for it to their 9.1 drivers tho. They might add it to later versions as well

If anyone knows of a better 24" LCD than this in that price range I would like to see it
http://www.11cb.com/3810053.html 2 weeks ago it was $299.99. I paid $450 for mine and it kicks ass. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824005099

Ehmm.... The screen isn't glossy from what I can see... It's the cabinet/border/trim thats super glossy.... Anyway, I wouldn't consider that a plus, I prefer not to stare at my own fingerprints :P

What makes it better than all other 24" monitors? Seems to have a higher response time than other competing monitors, but it is bright Don't particularly want to buy from a store I've never heard of at the same time...
