This man most likely changed the world more than any man ever has, besides Jesus.

he actually said he believed certain people were granted knowledge from God and claimed angels visited him and endowed him with knowledge and divine inspiration.

Here is a great article on him, he invented , some of the first robots , the radio (not Marconi) , all of our current beam weapons, neon lights, Ion beam weapons , radar, almost all our modern turbines, lighting weapons, empu weapons, A/C current that powers your home, (Edison invented D/C) and hundreds of other inventions , including though technology for high G aircraft and supposedly a time machine for the US government( Philadelphia experiment).

Also, shortly before his death in 1943, Nikola Tesla claimed to have completed a Unified Field Theory; however, it was never published.[10] Relatives of Nikola Tesla propose that much of Tesla's research papers were seized by the FBI promptly following his death, and highlight the apparent coincidence between the year of his death and the supposed date of the Philadelphia Experiment.

While very limited "invisibility cloaks" have recently been developed, using metamaterial,[11] these are unrelated to theories linking electromagnetism with gravity.
A cloaking device for ships way back then

He also invented the Tesla coil a device that made man made lightening . The only man made lightening device ever made. He laster used it to make a death ray for the US goverment that he destroyed a tank with from 70 miles away in the desert.

here is one now, a very small one Tesla coil

http://www.frank.germano.com/nikolatesla.htm

A larger one, and I the lightening it emits will not shock you but will power devices.

how to build one http://www.teslamap.com/guide.html

Nikola Tesla developed the Tesla coil around 1890. The original intent was wireless transmission of power. Imagine a world without power transmission wires, but a massive Tesla coil in the center of every town. To access the power, simply pound a metal rod into the ground. The earth would become the conductor that supplies unlimited power anywhere in the world.

I don't remember data ever having a beard. Thats weird. And many say that Tesla was gay. He had many "live in" friends that were guys but always rejected the opposite sex saying celebacy made him a better scientist..... Not to say that I think being gay is bad though. Its simply different and difficult to understand why some people are.
