8800GT and 9800GT SLI? possible?

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to sli a 9800GT and a 8800GT?
the reason I ask is I can't seem to find a retailer that still stocks 8800GT and I believe the 9800GT is really just a 8800GT re-branded?

There is a way but you have to flash your 8800GT with a 9800GT bios.

honestly I would put the money towards a new mobo/cpu/ram

I don't think i will be bothered to flash my 8800GT.

I was looking at a new setup but I wanted to take my 8800GT with me for a sli setup which would of saved me quite a bit, so i could get that beast of motherboard
"asus rampage II".

Looks like I'll just hold out even more.
My 939 served me well.
