Which Gaming Laptop?

Basically my friend is in the market for a gaming laptop (I tried to convince him otherwise). He has a budget of £700-800, although £700ish is the sweet spot. I was hoping for a minimum of a 9600GT and screen resolution isn't a problem. Here's two that I found:

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/154990

If you know which of the two is better gaming wise, that would help. If you know any other laptops which are better value or are more powerful, that again would be very helpful.

Thanks

i personally think the second one is better. it has ddr3 ram and it has a faster cpu.

EDIT: 1st one is better. i didnt see that the 2nd one only had 256mb of vram.

System Specs

First one is better for gaming at high res but the second one is not bad and helps portability and storage due to lower weight and more HD space.

Well, my friend (His laptop to be) generally games around 1280x1024 and below, he doesn't know what AA is so that's not an issue. I basically want to get him the longest lasting investment I can, because he will not be upgrading for a long while.

Then go with the second one.
