So why doesn't this come with any fans? Its gonna end up costing even more money after purchasing some decent fans to go along with this. I think its a good idea just not a very good marketing strategy.

I think it's a great strategy. People who buy these are most likely enthusiasts and I don't know about you but i would rather slap some high CFM late yoons on this than the stock fans.

The fancy box it comes shipped in doesn't pay for itself. Colorful holographic boxes are way more important than some 120mm fan.

well it is all marketing... I mean this thing probably performs within 3C of every other air cooler costing $20-$30 less.. its gotta differentiate.

No thanks, not me. I prefer my pc to be as silent as possible. Right now I can barely hear mine. Got all of the fans running at low speeds and my 4830 is passively cooled.

eh... going more off topic here, but not according to frostytech, which useses probably the most accurate test setup availible.

http://www.frostytech.com/articlevie...id=2280&page=5

that being said, if I go back to air, thor's hammer is a cool sink in more ways than one, but the price puts me off and I'd probably have an hdt-1283
