Cooler Master Scout True Gaming Chassis Comes Forward
The Cooler Master Storm family has grown with one more member, the Scout gaming chassis. The CM Storm Scout is a mid-tower chassis that features a solid steel body with a sexy all-black interior and exterior. Measuring (D) 19.2" x (W) 8.6" x (H) 19.5", the case comes equipped with a 140mm front intake fan, single 140mm top fan and a 120mm rear exhaust fan. Two non-included 120mm fans can be attached to the side panel of the case if required. Inside the case, up to five 3.5-inch hard drives can be mounted, as well as up to five 5.25-inch optical drives. The case supports 1.8-inch or 2.5-inch solid-state drives too. At last, part of the chassis' design includes carrying handles, handy enough for gamers on the go, people that go to LAN parties or people that use to move their cases a lot. The CM Scout will be available to end users on the 21st of April with a MSRP of $109.99. Detailed preview of the case with a lot of pictures can be found here.

I like it. Only change I'd make would be covering the entire front with 5.25" sections just to retain consistency, but I guess that's a very overused look. I'd consider this case. :P
It's even dark-colored on the inside. Bit of a surprise. :P

Very nice... my only complaint are the red LED's. Why red? Why LED's at all?

They are sooooo close to getting it perfect. All they need was a removeable motherboard tray, and a 15$ price cut.

Sold.
I am in love with that case and the release is perfect timing for me, late April i will order that, Power Supply, HD and DVD drive. I really like the handles on top and the price, it's like a HAF junior. |

I'm curious about the removable tray comment... how often do you need to pull out your motherboard while it's still on the tray, and for what purpose?

cant say I have ever needed to have a removable mobo tray - unless your doing open bench testing and need unrestricted access, its useless really.

And even then, you'd probably have to take the tray off anyway! |

that hole in the motherboard tray is fantastic - no more removing the motherboard and fiddling about with a heat sinks bolt through bracket for hours when theres a massive hole behind it. pop the side panel off and your away!

I know , it's probably one of the most useful features that requires the least effort. I've only needed it once on my HAF but I'm glad it was there.

90` hdd bays are rubbish, all they do is block the air-flow from the front fan.

Curious, why aren't you a fan of the bottom mounted PSU's? They always seemed so much manageable to me. No more cords dangling from the top, easy enough to coil and store on the bottom.

I'd get this for every rig that isn't my main one. That looks awesome. The one thing I've got against it though is those 90 degree HDD mounts. You're right Tigger, that is rubbish.

Nothing here fancy me here I've seen it all. Look different outside but same thing inside (no improvement whatsoever). Kind of got tired of company releasing new case with nothing change except the outside (color, more junk port, heavier, same cooling, same placement, same boring stuff). Come on bring something fresh to the table!
