Is it just me, or is that thing set up to blow the hot air back DOWN on to the CPU?

Hmm...I don't think reverse psychology works when engineering heatsinks.

Scythe Engineer: "Oh yeah processor, you want to be cool, huh? Well how about we blow hot air on you instead. That'll make you feel better."

unless its not blowing onto the heatsink but extracting heat

wouldnt that require 2 fans tho one to blow air onto it and one to extract the heat away

that would be an idea, you could reverse it so that the heatsinke side facing toward the CPU pushed, and the fan that comes with it blowing air towards the CPU is reversed to pull air away. then if you wanted to top it off could u maybe screw a fan on the horizontal heatsink that sits right above the CPU? lol just a few crazy thoughts

I still dont like this style of cooler where it points towards the motherboard....seems a bit retarded to blow hot air on the already warm enough VRMs.

That's why i said you could flip the fan that's with it and have it pull air through the heatsink, and buy another fan to place on the opposite side and push air through.

<-fan//<-fan LOL my example.

That's how top-down coolers work as far as I know, and somehow it works. lol
