First time: Razer Copperhead.

Today i got my new mouse. A Razer Copperhead.
After hearing so many good things about razer i decided to buy one.

I thought it would be a great improvement over my Logitech MX510 mouse.
Well, i thought wrong.

Have never seen a mouse that is so poorly designed and has such crappy materials used as this one. It is the most flimsy thing i ever used.

My points of criticism:

1: Poor build quality.
2: Buttons feel like crap
3: Needs more weight.
4: Package looks better then the mouse
5: The seams between the two buttons on top are way to big. So after a while the
mouse gets filled with dust and other crap.
6: You have to buy a upgrade kit to add weights.

This was my rant about the Razer Copperhead. What a shitty mouse.

I love my Copperhead way more than I liked my last logitech. I don't understand the poor build quality part, mine's been tough and going for a couple years now. I did put the upgrade kit into it though. It's a great mouse, maybe you just got a bad one.

The mouse feels just so flimsy compared to my Logitech. Hell i thought they put a Trust or Sweex mouse in the package. The Logitech also is wider so it has more surface.
The Razer is very small. Also the buttons on the right side are not even usable for me.
Only good thing i can see is the very cool red light and the scroll wheel is pretty good.

Like I said, I think you got a bad one. Razer has great support, give them a call and let them know the problem. I have no doubt they will take care of you.

I got ya beat there...mine bit it after 6~ months...though I admit; I did let my fiance use it and it died while in her 'care'
Wasn't her fault as the wire inside had burnt...funnily enough, right where the cord went into the mouse body.

I did buy another one though as I love a heavy mouse.

My diamondback was an epic mouse, really comfortable and responsive. The only gripe I had about it was that it wasnt wide enough, so my little finger and my thumb would touch my mouse pad, so I upgraded to a G9.

I like both my Krait and copperhead (new version). Both are going on 3 years old and still going strong.... though the krait is dropping clicks now and again (im sure its because the button contact has slipped out of alignment or something, cleaning it will fix it)

are you equating the lack of weight, and thinner material to the cheapness feel? as i agree there the mice wiegh nothing, and are very small... though the build quality is superb.

also did you get the left handed version or the right?
