pin 13 is your feedback pin. we need to follow the traces this pin follows to ground

Is this the way I can measure core voltage? Is R1222 which I put pencil mod?

only if your card supports software voltage control, and since it's not on a reference pcb, we can't tell.

Hey Random... Your responsible for killing my 3870 tooo!!! Man, come on... My brother gave you a guide, first things out of his type was at your own risk.. If you can't soder, or remember to make everything stock.. Then you don't even need to mod in the first place...
It was even my card that he used to test and do everything on this guide out.. But, I'm not hating him for me being out of a computer for 2 months while I got my money built up for a card.. You mod at your own risk. If you ever tinker with anything, it's at your own risk.. even if you put the screw driver into the socket, or the toster in the bath tub.. It's at YOUR OWN RISK..

Welll, We won't go there on that... I rather not have this thread hurt in any way.. About him that is..

Oh yeah, RM has killed a few things, and erased a few hundred gig's of anime.. but hey, I'm still going to give him a 285 (if I had one) and let him volt mod it to hell and back! I'm all down to do it my self, but I know he has more giggles over doing it then myself!

The realistic water and cloth simulation in Cryostasis is making me wet.

Long live Nvidia. Deat to ATI.
I already burned up 5 of my 8800GT 1GB's I got from being sponsored. They don't take the voltage as well as ATI cards.

Wow! Harsh words! Sorry to hear if you did in fact have a bad experience. Death to hardware is almost always a sad thing. But you have to go out on the limb to get the fruit. Sometimes the branch breaks, sometimes you grab the fruit. The risk is there for YOU to decide to take or not to take. Death is pretty harsh dude. My 3870 hit performance way beyond it's default and I thank RM for that. The key is, I read ALL instructions. The risk was mine to take. Honestly, if you did have a negative experience, I feel for you. But, the fruit is on the end of the cracking limb.

Hey guys, thanks for your help on the pencil mod so far!

I've been attempting to do it on my Visiontek 3780 but I'm having trouble testing the resistance on R1222. Anyone know what my problem is, or want to help me by telling me exactly what to do when i test for resistance? I have the multi-meter on kV and I've been touching both ends of the resistor and haven't gotten a measurement.

Thanks!
