and going to get this card i have a VGA output

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...1&Sku=B52-9607 (or a better card for under $120 CANADIAN that u kno of)

will it run ok?

ALSO i have a
AMD athlon 64 proccessor 3200+
2.01ghz CPU (rated at 3.1)

would i be able to play games like farcry 2 and ones with good graphics?

Forget newegg.ca and tigerdirect.ca.....both are fucking sucky on prices to say the least.

Buy from this place, www.directcanada.com - you'll save a ton of money and if your outside BC you dont pay GST!

Edit: On a note of DirectCanada, I'd buy THIS PSU HERE.

I'd consider a different gfx card, say a 4830 as the extra cash would give you a better card.

+1 to that.

Then think about upgrading the rest of your system later this year.....even an E7200 + 2GB DDR2 and a cheap Asus board would kick your system in the nuts and eat anything you will be likely to throw at it.

You know, monitors are relatively cheap too and air shipping is only another $10 and is ridiculously fast; BC to MTL in a day!

Shipped by Purolator.

I think it's probablly best to just get the 9600GT. At your resolution with a single core AMD processor anything else is overkill and a waste of money.

I agree. Save a few bucks on the gfx and put it towards future upgrades.

I say get a PSU and 4850 (big CPU bottleneck) and then later on invest about 300$ or something in mobo + CPU + RAM... (maybe a 720BE?)

I would get good upgrades and get results now AND after instead of investing in something your just satisfied with and it gets worse later (therefore a waste of money...)

Question is... can you get 300$ to invest on your comp by say, July? If not, you must rethink about it...
