X3 Gold Available now.

The collector's edition contains both X³ games, including all add-ons. The new add-on "The Aldrin Missions" for X³: Terran Conflict is released for the first time, offering numerous additional missions, ships, and sectors. The X³: Gold Edition represents the grand finale of the X trilogy, providing many hours of gaming fun.

For those who like to experience that outer space atmosphere outside of the game as well, the X³: Gold Edition also contains a soundtrack CD with music from X³: Terran Conflict.

Sounds pretty good. At 40$, i feel like buying it.

Gold isn't available in USA and there's no signs it will be either.

If memory serves, Gold is German only (manual, packaging) but the disk has English content.

I saw it on Gamersgate. Maybe because it's in Europe.

It is a cool game, but I prefer the indie Evochron: Legends over this. The graphics aren't nearly as good, but to me the gameplay is much better, and multiplayer rules. But the X3 trilogy for 40 bucks is a solid deal imo. Definately good stuff for space sims!

There's a cheating script that allows you to do pretty much anything; however, to use it is to suck the entertainment value out of the game.

If you want it here it is.

I have Evochron Renegades demo and it is a great game as to X3. kind of dumb they only give a 90 min. demo for them lol.

A GTX 280 shouldn't have any problems. Maybe try different drivers?

I played it fine on a 4000+ (2.4 GHz) and X800 XL. It got pretty nasty in a few sequencies (like the end of Reunion) but overall, it was fine.

Aww.. I really wanted to love this game, but it's a bit too complex for my taste. I've been playing Freelancer way too much.

Well, don't uninstall it. Egosoft is pretty good about patching so they might get it fixed soon.

I didn't try it yet with the Aldrin Missions installed. Bugger, I might not be able to play it either.

It could be audio related. If you have to audio devices to try, try switching to the other one to see if that does it too. 2/3 times, that fixes it.
