razer lycosa problem

Anybody have problems installing these? I XP or Windows 7. I tried running the disc and afterwards the software is installed but in device manager it says "no driver installed" and the keyboard doesnt work, it does light up though. I also tried all the drivers on the razer website and it doesnt change anything. please help.

I just recieved my Lycosa today and its awesome! I didn't install the drivers because I dont really need macros and stuff yet... If you think you dont need macros and stuff, uninstall the drivers and see if the keyboard still works.

Does Razor offer Windows 7 driver yet? Also, check this out to see if you have one of the "recalled" keyboards. http://www.techpowerup.com/index.php?85841

I have the Lycosa and it's a great typing keyboard, but not good for fast spaced games. I installed the drivers but haven't used any of the functions yet.

Try a different USB port. Also if you had any prior keyboard drivers make sure they are gone.

Also, did you check the website for updated drivers?

Get your latest chipset drivers here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Prod...D=816&lang=eng

What O/S are you using specifically? I can find you the exact drivers you need.

ok i updated it and i'm still having issues in XP, havent tried Windows 7 yet. And the keyboard does work before booting into windows. I can navigate through the bios fine, but any version of windows and it just doesnt want to work. I have tried all 8 usb ports on this board, and none of them do any good. But all the other usb devices i have seem to be fine.

Did you check your serial number? I would start thinking about contacting Razor, plus they are excellent with returns.

I dunno, its so strange that it works perfect on the laptop without even bothering with drivers. but it does not want to work with this desktop, so strange. I'm about to try my 3rd OS, vista 64bit which i havent even booted in months, maybe it'll work.

Actually my bad, forgot you tried on a different system. Asus may be the ones you want to talk to about your USB problem.

yeah i think so, it just sucks that its only for this device, i've had this motherboard for a while and i have 4-5 usb devices attached at all times. And for some reason Windows 7 wont even take a ps/2 keyboard at the moment, cant even log in. Today just isnt my day lol.

OK, i am currently using it in Windows Vista 64bit. Gonna try Windows 7 and XP again since i never ever use vista anymore, figures right?

it worked in Windows 7 long enough for me to type in my password, and then it proceeded to say it couldnt find a driver for Razer Lycosa, and stopped working. DAMN!!!!

on top of that, i figured out why the ps/2 keyboard stopped working. "A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)"

i tried removing my other keyboard but realized i couldnt boot into windows because the keyboard didnt work for me to type my password. Now it doesnt want to accept the old keyboard anymore either in Windows 7. Must be some bug.

Yet another update. In Windows 7. The keyboard works for a brief time whenever i boot up windows until it determines it cant find drivers. Is there any way i can lock it out from trying to find drivers?
