Got my E7400

I swapped my beloved E2220 and w810i for it
I wonder how far I can take it on stock cooling...
any suggestions?
(please list coreV as well)

on stock cooler 1,25vcore is the max you can go i think what your temps?

You should know every chip is different. Do what we all do, up the FSB, check for stability etc...

I'm still trying to get use to this new baby Still tinking of my old E2220, and I keep on upping the voltage everytime I keep on thinking that I might be putting too little

System Specs

You should be able to go further but get a better cooler first.

Get something like a Swifty H20-120 and you should be good for almost 4Ghz (YMMV)

my temps are around 40 degrees centigrade idle

I wish I could pursuade my father to allow me to get the OCZ Vendetta II, but he said I must get into the top five(at school) then he'll let me get one

stay under 1,25 vcore and you should be fine (try to check your temps and stability at full load with occt or orthos 95)

i wish i could still get those incentives :O but i think top five is easy for you with all the A's you get! Those Ocz's are the best we have in this country i reckon. Where are you getting it from?

System Specs

I'm running at 3.67GHz with 1.368 volts set in the BIOS and showing 1.34 in Windows. Stock cooling. On a pure CPU stress test the cores see up to 70C and proc 74C, but I don't see it as a problem as long as it's stable.

My CPU/Cores idle at 37 though, and that isn't affected by ambient temps so you should check your HSF install.

And I didn't up my volts to get a stable 3.2 or 3.3GHz.
